Immigration experience in private practice

Aside from managing her own immigration practice, Ioana has accumulated experience on all aspects of Canadian Immigration and citizenship in her capacity of Associate Lawyer with two reputable immigration law firms.

Immigration experience with the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration

​

Prior to entering the private practice, Ioana acted as Immigration Officer for the Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. She has thorough comprehension of the Ontario Government’s mandate, structure and operations and in-depth knowledge of application requirements, application processing, and the decision making process from a governmental perspective.

 

Immigration experience with settlement organization

 

Ioana was awarded a National Social Justice Fellowship by the University of Ottawa for her fellow and pro bono immigration work at Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization, which afforded accurate understanding of the impact of new program implementation upon designated communities.
