Update on 2020 Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Program

On March 27, 2020, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the delay in opening of the 2020 Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) due to a focus on responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

IRCC further indicated that the temporary deferral of the launch of the 2020 call for applications is not expected to impact upon the arrival of successful parent and grandparent applicants, and that processing of current PGP applications continues.
