On December 20, 2017, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada held the second round of invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system of the month.
December 20, 2017 at 13:29:55 UTC -- 2,750 invitations issued -- 446 CRS points minimum -- tie-breaking rule October 02, 2017 at 14:56:53 UTC: candidates from Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class, and Provincial Nominee Program eligible for this round of invitations.
The draw of December 20, 2017 is the fourth to operate under the new "tie-breaking" procedure whereby, in the event that more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time of submission of their respective Express Entry profile. Profiles that have been in the pool longer are prioritized for invitations over newer profiles.
