The first round of invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system of this year took place on January 10, 2018.

January 10, 2018 at 12:15:38 UTC -- 2,750 invitations -- 446 CRS points minimum -- tie-breaking rule November 18, 2017 at 6:30:42 UTC: candidates from Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class, and Provincial Nominee Program eligible for this round of invitations.

As per the tie-breaking rule, in the event that more than one candidate has the lowest CRS score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their respective Express Entry profiles.
