On March 22, 2018, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) announced changes in the application intake procedure: upon receipt of an application to the program, a completeness check is to be undertaken to ensure that all required supporting documentation and information has been submitted in conformity with OINP eligibility requirements. In case of complete applications, OINP is to issue a letter acknowledging completeness and indicating that application has been forwarded for formal eligibility assessment. In case of incomplete applications, OINP is to issue a letter providing 14 calendar days to submit documentation or provide information that may have been overlooked or forgotten at the time of application submission. If all requested documentation is not provided within the said 14 calendar days, the application (including the processing fee) is to be returned as incomplete.

As per OINP, extension beyond the 14 calendar days will not be granted, nor is the provision of additional time to be used to satisfy a requirement that should have been met at the time of application submission.
