2018 Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program results

On February 22, 2019, the Ontario government released the results of the provincial immigrant nominee program (i.e. OINP).

With the additional nomination quota, OINP reached a total number of 6,850 principal applicants nominations in 2018 (not counting the added spouses and dependents).

While, the Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream brought the highest number of nominations, the business streams saw a number of only 12 nominations. The Ontario government also announced that they exceeded their 5% target of francophone immigrant nominations. OINP statistics indicate India and China as the top two countries of origin by applicants receiving the highest number of nominations in 2018.
